Born Again and Freed from Sin

Every human being comes into this world from his mother's womb spiritually dead. You were born spiritually dead because you are born as a descendant of Adam.

Thankfully, that is not the end of the story. The Bible says that a solution to that death has been carried out. It is possible to have spiritual life. It requires God's impartation of spiritual life. The Bible says that sinners have to be born again to be forgiven and given eternal life.

That is what has happened if you are in Christ. You were born physically as a descendant of Adam and born again so that you are in union with Christ with the result that the image of God in you is being renewed in true righteousness and holiness.

That doesn't mean you will be without sin, but it means that as a Christian, you have hope for the future, because your sins have been forgiven by Christ.
