BOOK of PRAYER: Moments of Grace

Tom Poteet has been writing poetry since the late 1980's. He first began recording his prayers to his Lord in 1989. Since that time, he has written down, in poetic form, hundreds of prayers. Most of those prayers are included in his Sing A New Psalm. In putting a book together concerning prayer, both prayers written and poems of what prayer means to him, Poteet has culled the numbers of poems so that the reader can more easily follow his prayer life from 1989 until 2023.

The Book of Prayer is divided into two sections: those prayers written before the year 2000 and those written after. It is Poteet's hope that giving examples of his prayer life as well as sharing the meaning of his prayer life may ease the burden of prayer on the reader. Praying to and conversing with his Lord is a joy to Poteet. It is a time to bask in His Grace. It should be a joyful and meaningful time for all of His children. It should be a time for all to feel His Grace.

We simply need to become more comfortable at the Feet of our Lord and Father.
