Many people today think the Bible, the most influential book in world history, is not only outdated but irrelevant, irrational, and even immoral.

As the first book in the Bible, "The Book of Genesis" sets the stage for everything that happens throughout the Scriptures and is best known for its passages connected with the creation of the world and for stories such as Noah's Ark.

The first eleven chapters focus on the history of the whole universe. In chapter 12 God focuses in on one man's family - Abraham, from whom the nation of Israel will come from. After a backdrop of the entire history of the human race God focuses in on one man - Abraham and his family. With him he makes a covenant which God says all the nations of the earth will be blessed through! Genesis ends with Joseph - for he is the link between the family and the nation.

"The Book of Genesis" presents essential religious teachings about:
