"Burning ones"-
Not poisonous, not earthly
Like a viper-

About the throne,
Called the throne for
Eyes of dust
That cannot see beyond
Wind and fire,

With six wings each,
Called wings for
The sake of an image!-

O seraphim!
Of flesh strange to
Men who wonder,
"How does a 'glowing coal'
Upon the lips of a prophet-
Of Adam's gait!-
Purify heart and head
And hand?"
