Offering much wit and sage wisdom throughout, Belgum's words will keep the reader laughing as they learn of new perspective on several subjects. "Bonny's America" is well worth the read for any politically-minded person looking for a sample of the feminine side of things.

I am so happy when I can crawl into bed with a good book and not be asleep in 4 minutes. Bonny's America kept me laughing and reading until way past my bedtime and I didn't want to stop. Thank you Bonny for helping me laugh and then drift off to sleep with a smile.

Lots off Laughs

I'm feeling down and it's gloomy outside and then, hey, here's this really upbeat book , "Bonny's America", full of well-written, fast-paced and witty anecdotes about life (it could be me). Bonny runs into problems with the boss and old friends and new relatives, but each encounter is fuel for her novel approach to life. These short sketches are clever and show her understanding of the everyday. My favorite is "In the Lap of Luxury (When there's nowhere else to Sit)". Bonny and spouse remodel their mini condo; the ceiling collapses, the "desiccated mouse carcass, carbon dated 1932" falls through the light fixture to the apartment below, wires are everywhere, grout vs caulk. But what Bonny really wants is a butler to, "take the gentle guest's top coat", and "to deftly pluck the futon roll from the bulging broom closet and snap it smartly out onto the kitchen floor in one expert move" This is a laugh-out-loud funny book!

The Truth Has Never Been Funnier!

In this captivating book of essays, the immensely talented Bonny Belgum examines all aspects of ordinary life which I was delighted to find included my own! Nothing escapes her sharp eye and bright wit. Within the chapters of this book I found hilarious observations about those piles of paper we love to stack around the house that never get organized, reflections on a romantic honeymoon that veered off down the wrong road, and scathing (and well-deserved) attacks on the workplace. Bonny tells it as it is, as viewed through her original perspective. I not only laughed out loud, I saw things in a new light. A great read!

This book is what is meant by "we'll look back on this later and laugh" with hilarious retellings of the most personal and common events in all of our lives...each time I had to put it down I couldn't wait to get back to it!
