Bongo is a Happy Dog is my 2-year-old's favorite book! The pictures are delightful, and the text is simple, yet stimulating for my toddler. I highly recommend this book for the under six crowd, and also for anyone who loves the beautiful art of Peter Loose!

You realize from the very beginning that there is a special bond that the author and artist have with Bongo. The reader feels their strong love for him. The words are direct and pure conveying an appreciation of the environment. For adults Bongo represents a childhood long since past but still fondly embraced when given the opportunity. Bongo gives everyone the chance to explore the simple pleasures of life and to slow down and reflect on what is really important, what makes us happy.
