Bone Healing Enhancement Using Auotologous and Alloplastic Materials

Reconstruction of jaw bone defects can occur due to many reason such as after surgical procedure or due to atrophy and is important to repair the bone defect to restore normal shape and function. Many methods are used wide world to achieve better results of bone healing include biomaterials, bone graft, autologous products and tissue engeneering. In this book we used two methods for enhancing bone healing: the platelets rich plasma which is an autologous product derived from blood and OSTEON which is an alloplastic biomaterial composed of material similar to natural bone composition and compare between them depending on radiographical and histological analysis
