Another book in the 'Olly Wood Gang' series sees the gang of kids from Bolsover in Derbyshire having more great adventures, fun and hilarity in 1964. Now the boys are joined by girls who prove their intelligence and ability in the ever-changing world to identify who is following them and why. They are forced to address many issues, including dementia and discrimination, that are around them in society. And because life is changing and young people have an energy, they come up with the idea to start a newsletter for the kids of Bolsover and Shirebrook, to try and bring the two communities together, instead of being at war with each other. So they use the first three letters of each town - Bol and Shi, to create BolShi as the title for the newsletter. Not everyone sees the simplicity of that and think they are 'Bolshie', or communists and they get attention from Derek Tanner and his 'anarcho-syndicalists' from Clay Cross; and from the CIA and MI6, who think they're up to no good.
