Boise State Football: A Photographic History

If you are a fan of Boise State football, you are going to love this book. Whitman Publishing has teamed up with Boise State University to compile a collection of vintage photographs, some dating all the way back to the first season in 1933 under coach Dusty Kline. Boise Junior College had winning seasons in 1934, 1939 and 1940, but it was head coach Lyle Smith who took the Broncos to a higher level, starting in his first season in 1947. Smith's teams would post a perfect 28-0 record in his first three years. After George Blankley went 16-1 in 1950-51, Smith returned to the sideline, guiding the Broncos to a 125-25-5 record from 1952 through 1967. Tony Knap, Jim Criner, Lyle Setencich, Skip Hall, Pokey Allen, Houston Nutt, Dirk Koetter and Dan Hawkins followed as head coach after Smith retired, but it is current coach Chris Petersen who has the Bronco Nation abuzz, posting a 35-4 record in his first three seasons. We hope you enjoy this photographic history of Boise State fo
