An intellectually evocative book

Whoa! I picked up this book and had trouble putting it down. A couple of times, I had to force myself to close the book because it was too late and I needed to stop reading even though I didn't want to have an intermission. What a remarkable story. My mind has not calmed since I finished the book about an hour ago. I think it is safe to say that this has been my favorite book that I have read in the past year. And, to put that in perspective, I try to read a book every week or two. I hope Bryce Anderson has more for us in the future. This is an intellectually evocative book that will lead a reader on a thirsty path for more.

Very Intriguing Book

I just finished this book last night. I must say that I thoroughly enjoyed reading it. And to be honest, I have found myself doing a little research of my own into some of the scriptures included. It was a skillfully written book that was intriguing, distinctive, and a lot of fun to read. If you have an inquisitive mind, you will LOVE this book!!

Excellent and thought-provoking novel

I've read very few books in my life that I keep thinking about after I'm finished, and I wish wouldn't have ended so quickly. When I am lucky enough to run into books like that, which is probably once every several years, I feel extremely fortunate. This book was one of those. It was well thought out, well written, and very interesting. The personality of the main characters come across very clearly, and are very three-dimensional; even though it is written in the first person, the author gives a broad and neutral perspective that transcends the main character, so from the reader's perspective, it is as if they are a silent participant in the conversations as they transpire. If you like books such as "The Alchemist" by Paul Coelho or "The Journeys of Socrates" by Dan Millman, you will also thoroughly enjoy this book.

Body of Knowldege

This book was both entertaining and insightful. A definite page turner it leaves the reader wanting to know more with each chapter. The quotes at the beginning of each chapter are a nice touch. An interesting plot which was brought together by likeable characters and an engaging story line. I would recommend this novel to readers of all ages.

Great book - Funny and thought provoking

I've read this book 3 times now. Each time I find something new that gets me thinking. You really get a good look into the main character's mind and see how logic brings him to his conclusions. Both main character's are very enjoyable and the ending has a nice twist.
