Oh no, not another flashlight movie.

Someone needs to train the police and others on where the light switch is. If they just flip the switch, the people could move a little faster, and the slow, spooky background music could be turned off. And quit spending time aiming at red herrings. Looks like it took 50 minutes to realize this is one big advertis-ement for flashlights. A few bullets flew, and none hit the flashlight. You can see the body cam that shows that. Wait, if you use enough flashlights, there is another reality. Neat, I found the 10-second fast-forward leap button. Now things are finally starting to pick up. That is not all; if you turn the sound off and subtitles on, it is a lot less jarring. The basic story is about a policewoman, Renee Lomito-Smith (Mary J. Blige), who is too stupid for words. She sneaks around with her flashlight instead of staying in the car. She does not follow protocol and messes everything up for others. But that is o.k. because Perry will probably vindicate her in the end. No surprise as to who the bad guys are.
