Twenty years ago, Joline Crawford passed away.

Since then, the legendary Kurt Crawford has only seldom been seen, but that hasn't stopped people of all ages and all walks of life from continuing to make up raving stories about him. Kurt was the hero of his Oregon town during his career, and anyone touched by his goodness truly believed he may have been the greatest fisherman who had ever lived - but none of that mattered to Kurt. In the waning years of his life, now into his nineties, all he thinks about is how quiet life is without that sweet red-haired girl he'd met on the beach as a young boy. Now, understanding that his time is starting to come to an end, he's decided to step out onto the seas one last time. As he departs to the open waters, he soon realizes that something has called him there.
