I didn't write Blue to explain autism.
I wrote it to explain understanding.
Blue sees the world a little differently. Sometimes brighter. Sometimes louder. Sometimes more overwhelming. But like every child, Blue wants to be seen, heard, and loved exactly as she is.
This story is for children who feel different - and for the adults helping them find their place. It's a reminder that patience, kindness, and curiosity can open doors we didn't even realize were closed.
If Blue helps one child feel understood, or helps one reader slow down and see the world through someone else's eyes, then every page was worth it.
Thank you for meeting Blue.
