Izzy Forrest loves a good joke, and her life is the biggest one. After losing her job and going through a brutal breakup, Izzy moves in with her older sister, Delia, in the small coastal town of Seaview, Massachusetts. Luckily, Izzy never takes things too seriously, so she's able to laugh off her misfortunes.

That is, until she realizes they're getting in the way of her sister's happiness. When Izzy overhears Delia admit she won't move in with her boyfriend because she feels guilty kicking Izzy out, it prompts her to get her life together.

Jacob is a romantic. He has big dreams of settling down with the love of his life, but he hasn't met her yet. His dating woes inspire Izzy to strike up a deal. Jacob will help her become a functioning adult, and Izzy will help him level up his dating game.

It's a great plan...except for the part where they can't stop flirting with each other. But Izzy and Jacob are totally different people in totally different places. They would never work.

And there's nothing funny about that.
