I've kept this book for twenty years. It]s that good.

It's a happy beginning, a sad middle and a solid if sad ending. I like it very much. I also have her trilogy, A REASON FOR GLADNESS, PETER AND THE ROCK, and BRENDAN, about an irish family growing up.
