Blue Holes to Terror brings Lieutenant Colonel Deanna Peterson and Special Agent Katherine O'Malley together again in a race to stop a diabolical terrorist plot. Beginning with witnessing a near... This description may be from another edition of this product.
Kocialski follows up her enjoyable 'Forces of Evil' with this second book in the series. The characters of Katie and Dean continue to be enjoyable and are further developed here. Their friends, Tracy and Colleen, become more prominent members of the cast. And, Dean's old friend Bill is also introduced. Between the five of them, they disrupt an international crime ring and save the day. This is a feel good story where the main characters are always one step ahead of the bad guys. The biggest shortcoming of the book is the author's reluctance to actually develop the character profiles of the bad guys. It seems the book would have been more complete if their side of the story had been better written. A good book... I'm anxious to read the third and fourth books in the series over the next few weeks.
Kocialski does her homework!

Another great read with Dean and Katie solving an international crime. I love the military language, Kocialski's subject knowledge and all the gadgets and gizmos. Very cool technical equipment (C-12 explosive gel could solve some of my household problems...) And details, great details about the diving manuevers. I found myself holding my breath more than once. Some genuinely great moments. Best line of the book: "We can handle them, they're just women." HA! I recommend you start by reading the background info. on blue holes found in the back of the book.
Getting better

Kocialski's work is getting better. Her style in Blue Holes is tighter than in Forces of Evil, which may be due to it being a shorter book. She's getting better at love scenes, though she can use some improvement still. She would save the best one for the last page of the book. And there's a reference to a strange character at the end of this book that may indicate a third book about Dean and Katie. If her writing improves as much in that one as it did for this book, the next one should be a real winner. As it is, this is a nice tight, book with plenty of excitement and a better developed relationship. If nothing else, you'll feel better thinking that there are people like this actually working in the government to keep us safe. And if they aren't, they ought to be.

Blue Holes to TerrorBeautiful scenery combined with suspenseful - heart in your throat drama!Dean and Katie - first introduced in Forces of Evil - are called, once again, into service for their country. On "vacation" in the Bahamas, on a luxury yacht with friends - nothing is as it appears to be. What is the one clue they are missing? Who are the key players? What or who is the bad guys' target? What is their objective? While puzzling out all the players, the two women are also faced with questions - will their still somewhat new relationship survive the latest round of dangers? Will they survive this latest mission?Once again the author takes the reader along for a fantastic ride!
