Hi, my name is Beth Schmidt, and I'm the author.After college, I found the biggest dog I could (an English Mastiff off of PetFinder.org) and loaded her in to the back of my Jeep and drove from Baltimore, MD to Cortez, CO to be a nurse on the Navajo Indian Reservation. I knew no one. Fifteen years later, I wrote a book loosely based on my life with Macy, and those 2 years in Colorado. It's pretty funny, if I do say so myself (because Mastiffs just are), and I think you're going to like it. If you don't, just don't bend the pages and you can re-gift it! :-) Excellent for birthdays, dog lovers, outdoorsy people, or holiday gifts. The book is about 26 year old Clare, her newly adopted mastiff, lousy roommate, interracial romance, and crazy best friend. Oh, and she is also a nurse on the Navajo Indian Reservation.
