How does cardiology work?
The study and treatment of heart and blood vessel disorders is known as cardiology. A cardiologist may be referred to a person who has heart disease or other cardiovascular disease.
A subspecialty of internal medicine is cardiology. A cardiac surgeon is distinct from a cardiologist. Heart surgery is carried out with the chest opened by a cardiac surgeon.
A cardiologist specializes in cardiovascular disease diagnosis and treatment. The cardiologist will conduct tests and may also carry out certain procedures like placing a pacemaker, angioplasty, or a heart catheter.
Cardiovascular disease affects the heart, blood vessels, or both, whereas heart disease is specific to the heart.
