Macho but good

This was definitely a guy type of book. I expected a lot more blood and sex than I got though so I was pleasantly surprised. Though the women in the story all symbolized sex in someway to the main character, he was realistic and genuine. He expressed fear, confusion, anxiety and compassion. For some reason I didn't expect that. The story also was a good mystery. I thought it would probably be a gross-fest with fighting and brawling accompanying every confrontation and sex purring out between fights. It wasn't like that at all. Though the main character got plenty of sex in the end, I didn't feel like I was tramping through the sewer of a raunchy mind. It was a hearty mystery and I figured it out just as the main character did. I like mysteries like that because if the reader figures it out before the main character, there is little fun left in the story. I will say that this book isn't for kids, and that adult scenes abound. If made for television it would have to be rated MA for nudity, language, violence and 2 scenes of full-on sex.
