Blood Red Roses It's a normal monthly Probus Club meeting. The room is packed, members keen to hear the visiting speaker. The door opens and in walk two young adults, far too young to be members. And what's more interesting, they're dressed as uniformed officers from Victoria Police. What's happening? The speaker stops as everyone stares at the cops. The president hops up and makes a lame joke about the real crooks being in the bowls club next door. But the Prez is stunned when the police say it's him they're after. The members are hooked, the speaker forgotten. The police escort the president and his good lady to the foyer. The speaker tries to continue but is upstaged by the raised voices outside.A body part is found in the garden of the president's posh Brighton property. It's buried in his rear garden beneath his blood red roses. The police struggle to solve the body part mystery, and when a club member is murdered in a nearby tourist spot, step forward three Probus members-sisters Patricia and Jean, and retired Senior Constable, Robert Ayres, aka Bobby the Bobby. They form PUDA, the Probus Unofficial Detective Agency. The game is afoot.
