A page burner!

Blood Over Badge is a superb first novel effort. The detail provided by the author makes you feel as if you are there in the flesh and he gives a view inside an investigation unlike any novel I have read. Beware, this book is a page turner you won't be able to put down. Prepare for late nights and tired days! Wayne is clearly well on his way to greatness with this effort. Bravo!

Bloody Brilliant

I had forgotten how much I enjoy a good murder mystery. Maybe it's because Mr. Farquhar is a veteran of the force and can accurately describe every detail in every step of the investigation or maybe it's just a genuinely good story. I'm inclined to believe it's a combination of both. The author manages to weave in so many details that the reader is really swept into the story full-force. Sights, smells, sounds...all described perfectly but without over-indulging. The story is definitely a good one. The reader gets to see the story from both the killer's point-of-view and the detectives investigating the case. You will never sees the ending coming until it smacks you right in the face. Two crimes that seem so completely unrelated are inter-weaved so expertly that it makes you wonder if maybe the author doesn't know a bit too much about how a criminal thinks. If you like murder mysteries or crime thrillers, this is the book for you. Just a note, though...This book may not be for you if you like your books rated PG-13. The language alone makes this a Rated R book, but it's definitely a realistic representation of the world of a homicide detective. "Mystery Enthusiast"

Wayne did an excellent job of keeping my attention right from the start. I couldn't put the book down and was disappointed when it was over because I yearned for more. Can't wait to read the next one!!
