My name is Marcus Cross, and I've been a vampire for over a thousand years. - But I am not immortal.

Today's vampires are nothing of what we once were. Humans are selling us their blood. Vampires are adding a dash of it to their pumpkin spice lattes for a kick of flavor. The truce between humans and vampires has left both sides fat, stupid, and overpopulated.

So I engineered a swarm of vampire bats from the blood of Lillith, herself. Their bite will turn the humans and infuse them with the strength of the Old Ones. We tested them on the people of St. Regina Island. Or so was the plan. But there were too many. And they were too hungry. They've killed most of the humans. What lingers is vicious and rabid.
