The taste of Blood, Guts, and Yearning:
In your mouth, you may find small decaying flowers, the time they looked at you and smiled, the residue of sickly sweet treats, the tee-shirt you slept in last night as he held you, the beating heart of your lover screaming, tea that burnt your lips, the ice on the ground you hoped to slip on, burning lungs, burnt love letters, a place to pretend nothing is real, the begging of skin, and the death of words.
Blood, Guts, and Yearning is a queer poetry book written by a Portland, OR, local.
