It will introduce the readers to some of the most horrific murders committed by an unidentified criminal known as the Axeman whose reign of terror raised havoc across the streets of The Big Easy. The notorious Axeman of New Orleans would roam across the streets of New Orleans in the dead of night and intrude into the homes of his targets, which were either Italian Americans or Italian Immigrants. As his title suggests, his weapon of choice was an axe which he would take from his victims' homes. He would then enter their homes from through a hole made in the backdoor by chiselling the door panels and strike his victims with the axe till they got their skulls cracked or they bled to death. None of his victims were able to catch a proper glimpse of his visage as he would attack and flee as quickly as the wind.
Various notable authors and historians have presented their theories about the identity of the axmen, but just like the infamous Jack the Ripper, none could ever come any close to the truth behind the ruthless assailant. In this book, you will know and understand the depth of the terror that the axe-wielding man had spread across The Big Easy.
