Blithe Spirits on the Pumpkin Path

Halloween is fast approaching, and in the beautiful Cotswold living history village of Rowan Vale, a day of events is planned. There'll be pumpkin carving, apple bobbing... and a not-so traditional midnight s ance.

The spirit medium will be Melissa, better known as 'Madam Mariska' on television's It's Haunted But Melissa is keeping a career-threatening secret: she's lost her ghost-whispering abilities, and it's her sister and general dogsbody assistant Verity who she relies on to contact the spirits.

With the resident village ghosts going on strike in protest at the booking, and sibling rivalry at its highest, it's no wonder Verity is unhappy, and her feelings aren't helped by her unexpected attraction to the calm and beautiful Mia.

Leaving her sister to the midnight s ance, Verity follows an illuminated pumpkin path to the stone circle on the edge of the village and does something very out of character... and which she hasn't a clue how to fix.
