Would-be explorer and budding private investigator Fernando DeSota has set up shop in the only office space he can afford - a fertilizer storage shed. Not impressive digs for a P.I. wannabe whose career tops out at finding a couple of missing cats and a prize-winning goat.
That all changes when Tammany Hall enlists his help in removing a potentially lethal hex cast upon Blinky, city mascot and All-American alligator by a man in an orange-feathered chicken suit. Before Tammany can sort out the fact that her inexplicable emotional attachment to an eleven-foot-long, four-hundred-pound alligator might warrant a need for psychological counseling, she suddenly finds her own life in danger, threatened by a dark, evil entity known as The Black Mamba.
What begins as a search to find an important document in order to save Blinky's life becomes a race to find the lost treasure of the notorious, fashionably challenged pirate, Paisley Pete.
