excellent mystrey

i didn't know how i would like once they started talk premonition. but, it was really very good. couldn't put it down.

Exciting thriller with a dash of ESP thrown in

There are two murders here and two different suspects, but they both have something in common. One is in prison awaiting a re-trial on possible insanity plea - she claims a ghost committed the murder. The other is a forensic psychologist's daughter who's suspected of killing her ex-boyfriend. Suki Jacobs, the forensic psychologist, is trying to determine the sanity of the first murderer (Lindsey Kern) while trying to exonerate her daughter as a suspect in the second murderer. Both suspects seem to have ESP which does not help their cases at all! Overall, a good read with some mother-daughter dynamics thrown in.

Blind Spot is a compelling read.

The complex web that Barbara Shapiro weaves keeps readers guessing from start to finish. Alexa Jacob's dilemma twists and turns, keeping Suki, Alexa's mother, in a constant state of turmoil. Once you start reading Blind Spot you won't be able to stop.

Moving family drama embedded in gripping suspense.

I've read all of Shapiro's novels, and _Blind Spot_ is far and away her best. There are few writers who can seamlessly combine family drama, mystery, suspense, and the paranormal. Shapiro is one of them. She hammers you with danger and plot turns, but never lets you forget this is fundamentally a story of a mother-daughter relationship in crisis. For her fans (there must be thousands of us), the reappearance of Lindsey Kern from _Shattered Echoes_ is a treat. Highly recommended.

Fast-paced, rivetting: I couldn't putit down

Blind Spot is a great combination of a fast-paced suspensful plot with an almost as suspenseful exploration of a mother struggling with the reality of her teenage daughter's life. This is a perfect book for the beach or airplane for the person who likes character and relationships mixed in with a fast-moivng plot. I really liked it a lot.
