This is a sad story, yet ultimately uplifting tale of four teen girls who all face a life-altering, horrific accident. While the event is the same, the girls' roles within it, and their prospectives of it, vary greatly. Inherently, each of these young ladies are good people. But the girls' personalities could not be more different. One has problems making friends because she is painfully shy. One has trouble making friends because she is not nearly shy enough. One is a little sister with a superiority complex, who is friends with just about all of her peers, but not her elder sibling. The last, but far from least, is the center of the tragic event, which is the thread that ties these divergent personalities together. As you might have guessed, she, the most innocent, most beloved girl, is the one who tragically loses her life. Due to the nature of her demise, the others are forced to either form what they believe will be lifelong unholy bonds or make guilt-ridden decisions that will endure forever in their minds. I invite you, the reader of this novel, to place yourself in our characters' shoes. I propose that only then you judge the four young girls' irreversible actions and evaluate the anguish-laden truths that they ultimately find acceptable to live with for the rest of their lives. Enjoy the book. It might reveal something about yourself that you never knew existed.
