Bleakness and Bliss: My personal struggles with depression

A broken heart needs a place to go. A place to weep, bleed, and a place to mend. I found that place in poetry. Something I never thought I would ever be doing. Writing poems. While I am not a professional, I found solace in putting my pain into words. It gave me someone to talk to without any repercussions. When I go back and read some of my poems, it's like reading somebody else's work. The deep pain at that moment in time is forever etched in each word, allowing me to reflect and move forward. Fighting daily to keep my faith in knowing that God is with me in this storm.
