I love the honesty in this book. For a topic in most christian arenas that is taboo, it's refreshing to read a struggle that many women go through but many are afraid to tell or share. What courage it took to write this book!! I know of friends & family that will be encouraged by reading this. I know I was! :)
A book of hope, faith, love, and alittle crazy!
Published by Thriftbooks.com User , 16 years ago
No one wants to say the word mental illness, let alone admit they have it. Then walks in Sandra Heidi Anne (Heidi O'Brien). Heidi allows the reader to peek through an intimate looking glass, and walk her journey of highs and lows of mental illness. Blankets, Tea, and Crazy people is a quick read, that will touch your heart with truth, and openness. Get your highlighter out, as you'll find gems that you'll want to go back and reflect on. When you feel there is no hope, and the pit is too deep, Heidi reminds the reader that they're not alone, and God has not forgotten them in spite of their feelings. This is a book you'll want to share with your friends.
A Real Blessing!

This is a very honest look at one woman's struggle with bi-polar disease. Heidi is extremely candid and straight forward. She allows us to view her personal experiences on a day-to-day basis in order that others may not have to go through such heartache. God gets all the glory for her victory. This book is a real blessing to me and it comes highly recommended.
