I appreciate my father letting me be the first to see his book. It is a great read. Blackburn-Lyde Reveals is published at just the right moment in American social and political history. The descriptions and details are vivid as Jim Lyde relates many of the important moments of his life and discusses issues that we as a society are dealing with today. Situations are described and then questioned, causing the reader to dwell on the what-ifs. The book is insightful and guaranteed to give people food for thought as they read through the pages. As his elder son, I am pleased to recommend this very timely work. After retiring from a multi-faceted law enforcement career, Jim Lyde resides in his home town of Henrietta, Texas with his wife Nancy. They are both quite active in religious and charitable affairs, and are well regarded in the community.
