Allan Daniel, who just got married, is spending a few days reconnecting with her past on Blackburn, England. Chief Inspector Henry William joins the investigation when valuable jewelry is taken from the hotel. After Henry perceives Allan as a companion from schooldays, they revive their fellowship and Allan barrages him with inquiries concerning the case. However, one evening after dinner, they discover a body on the roadside. Dreading for her wellbeing, Henry cautions Allan to avoid the case.
