Important Piece of American History

Following the family featured in Blackberry Women is like reading a personal account of American history you never knew happened. From poverty, tragedy and death, to birth, love and success, this novel highlights issues and circumstances that many American families experienced in the 30s, 40s, and 50s that so many of us aren't aware of or have forgotten. This book makes you want to ask your great aunts and uncles just who are they and what kinds of things did they get themselves into at your age. It's definitely a page-turner and a real treat to read.
