Everybody loves to exploit our culture, constantly taking without comprehending what it means to be black, what we go through, what pushes our evolution, what makes us brilliant. They have yet to see the resilience and struggle we endured against injustice and inequality. From the force of racism to systematic oppression, our ability to overcome should never be forgotten. We are two sides of the same coin, persistently trying to change the narrative that has been written for us and not be placed in a box. Being black means, we have a challenging but beautiful struggle. This pain we suffer does not take away from the fact that we are innovative, creative, and excellent in the face of this monster. I am proud to be me.
