I have never heard of Ron Shinkman when a friend mentioned his new book to me. Being that I have followed the aerospace industry since John Glenn, I was curious about his fictional account of the Aurora Project. After only a few pages, I was hooked. Without giving away the plot, here is an idea. The story begins with a murder, and the action never dies down (sorry about the pun). You would imagine that a thriller, mystery would be predictable. However, Mr. Shinkman's humor throws you off the trail, keeps you entertained, laughing, and begging for more.Considering that this is apparently Mr. Shinkman's first novel, I was simply and pleasantly surprised. Look for Mr. Shinkman in the future. He will certainly become a household name in no time.
"Black Projects" -- A page turner!

"Black Projects" is a wry thriller, a witty mystery that practically reads itself. The author's vivid imagery captures the nasty underworld of corporate greed and takes it to the most outrageous and frightening conclusions. You'll feel immersed in the high desert atmosphere of meth labs and murder, while following the hero, Mel Robbins, on his race to publish before he perishes. A quick, fun read, I expect that you'll soon be recommending "Black Projects" to your friends.
