Pepper a 7 year old girl is trying to understand why kids think she is so different, because of her darker skin.so with a little spice in her and pep in her step she give a lesson to make them understand. This book is a coming of age book. it's for all ages, the fun work sheets at the end of the book is good for older children and the cute little pictures are for younger children, I did it this way so all ages can enjoy this book. If I had to set a age range this book would be good for children age 4 to 13.. This also makes for a great classroom read.
