Black Friday is aptly named. The day after Thanksgiving when shoppers are enticed to rise at unholy hours by stores whose merchandise is available at sale prices. Are there other forces that prey on mankind in this most psychologically vulnerable time? Perhaps. Let me pull back a curtain and present you with a glimpse of a few other reasons this particular Friday might be called "Black."
