Black Bitch

By: Kross, A.

Susan, a Black woman in her 40s, has spent twenty-five years trapped in the shadows of an abusive marriage, only to be abandoned by her husband for another woman just as she receives the most devastating news of her life: she is dying of terminal breast cancer.

Shattered but determined not to let her final days be defined by pain and betrayal, Susan journeys to South Africa in search of peace, beauty, and a chance to rediscover herself before she dies. Amid breathtaking landscapes and a culture alive with spirit, she finds more than she ever imagined-joy, laughter, and the feeling of love she thought she'd never know again. But Susan carries a secret that threatens to unravel the fragile happiness she has found. The man who has awakened her heart does not know the truth-that her time is running out.

A powerful and poignant story of resilience, healing, and the redemptive power of love, Black Bitch is a moving testament to the courage it takes to embrace life, even when facing its end.
