Black Bag Jobs
The mission was supposed to be simple. Get in. Get the asset. Get out.
It stopped being simple the moment the CIA lost control of the operation.
Brill Wingfield is a black-ops operative who doesn't need backup, doesn't ask permission, and doesn't leave people behind.
When a deep-cover intelligence asset is captured in Hong Kong, Brill is sent into the city to recover him-and the tiny encrypted drive hidden in his possession. The drive contains the identities of an entire covert network operating across Southeast Asia.
If Beijing gets it, agents will disappear, informants will die, and an intelligence operation years in the making will be exposed.
But the Ministry of State Security is already hunting.
So is Raymond Lo, a ruthless Triad boss who sees the stolen intelligence as a fortune waiting to be sold.
Caught in the middle is Li, a badly wounded former intelligence asset who has been abandoned by his own handlers and has barely enough blood left to survive the extraction.
Now Brill has to move a dying man across a city being transformed into a battlefield by a Category Four typhoon.
There are no safe houses.
No clean escape routes.
No reliable communications.
And no time.
The Ministry's elite kill teams are closing in with thermal optics, surveillance drones, armored vehicles, and overwhelming firepower. The Triads are sealing the streets. Every transit hub is compromised. The extraction submarine is waiting offshore-but reaching it means surviving flooded streets, underground tunnels, armed checkpoints, a collapsing industrial zone, and a final showdown on a storm-battered island.
Brill has only one advantage.
He is very, very good at impossible jobs.
From the neon streets and dangerous back alleys of Hong Kong to flooded tunnels, abandoned high-rises, raging seas, and a desperate maritime extraction, BLACK BAG JOBS is a relentless covert action thriller packed with espionage, CIA black operations, international intrigue, assassins, Triad crime syndicates, military intelligence, survival, and nonstop action.
If you like hard-edged espionage thrillers, military action novels, covert operations, CIA thrillers, special operations, international thrillers, black-ops heroes, and pulse-pounding manhunts, this is your kind of mission.
The package has to reach the boat.
The hunters are already waiting.
And Brill Wingfield has no intention of failing.
