My interests are American History and the English language. Historical novels and biography's such as 'Rabble In Arms' and 'To Kill a Mockingbird' hold a prominent place in my collection.
I was fascinated by stories from my grandfather about working at the locks on the Earie Canal, or dad talk about his childhood. I never lost that desire to hear those stories. I married my wife and was blessed with my father-law-law, Ervin Tinsley becoming a part of my life. As I sat and listened to the stories of his life the more my heart was stirred to write this book about adventures in the rural Blue Ridge mountains of north Georgia during a time in our nation that is slipping away from the younger generations living in the busyness of today's times. I encourage you to 'just set a spell and listen' to the stories of your family history before it is too late.
From a young child watching his mom die, to working at a sawmill, from facing an angry bull or an angry revenue agent, God's hand led him to become a Southern Baptist preacher God used mightily. "Hey mister, you got a minute"?
