Maggie Townsend, wife of Archie Townsend, MLA, has done her best to be a supportive wife and mother. When the shop where she works becomes the headquarters for a massive campaign to protest the privatization of communication by Public Works--Archie Townsend's portfolio in recent years--Maggie struggles with the difficulty of remaining loyal to her husband and working for an employer who is actively opposed to Archie's politics. Maggie's loyalty is further tested when she's attracted to Zeke Avery, a man she hasn't seen since univeristy. He's a writer, he's a thinker, he's sexy--everthing her husband is not.
