This book is so good I've kept it for 21 years and re-read it several times. It has all the elements a fantasy sensual romance should have. If you want to escape, this book let's you do it!Because of her unrestrained temper, Victoria insulted her brother's guest, Aram, the dashing soon-to-be Sultan of Morocco. Determined to tame the beautiful spitfire, Aram abducted her to his palace, where she awakened trapped in her captor's harem.Despite Aram's skill in igniting Victoria's passions, her only thoughts were of escape from the loathsome prince. Soon, her escape became harder and harder to carry out, for bitter hatred had given way to passionate love . . . Bitter Passion, Sweet Love.
A love that endures

I enjoyed this book. The "Emir" was very manly and he knew just how to tame the spoiled little rich girl, "Shems". I liked some of the adventures she endured before finally growing into a mature woman, and the love that grew between them was very powerful. I liked it when they finally admitted their love for each other. There were some parts that I didn't enjoy, like the number of times she was abducted and the parts where she was sexually abused, more than once. But overall I took the story for what it was, pure escapism.
