Bitter Honey Volumes One and Two describes the after taste that we have left when we try to satiate a hunger. It could have been a natural hunger to help, to comfort, to share and understand, to love, to respect or just to be courteous and kind. It didn't matter whether or not the encounter was casual and brief or drawn out and familial. The enclosed selections confront, not always nicely or constructively, those painful times that may have taught us not to wear our emotions on the outside or expose our heart as if we were modeling the warm lining of a comfortable jacket. It hopefully looks at the absurdity of trying to create space to store any extra baggage we've acquired, much less someone else's baggage. It examines how we exhaust ourselves experiencing and discovering that we have allowed ourselves to be changed, or maybe where we were fortunate enough to catch ourselves before too much damage was done.
