Seventy-eight years young, she is actively leading a small writers' group in Mooresville, NC, "Writing Your Memories," and feels everyone should leave a written legacy of their lives for future generations. She treasures memories of growing up with seven siblings and many cousins. Born in Illinois where she lived most of her life, Dorothy retired in North Carolina more than twenty years ago. She is the mother of two children, six grandchildren, and six great grandchildren.
