The Birman cat is a sociable, fun-loving feline that craves companionship and affection. Children and animals will have no problem getting along with the Birman, who is a people person who likes being around people. As far as I know, he can fit in with any sort of family. The pointed coat of the Birman comes in six hues and two patterns, but his white feet and blue eyes should never change. The length of the long coat is fixed and does not grow. Brushing the Birman twice a week is all that is required to maintain its fluffy coat, which does not mat as quickly as other breeds. Similarly to his Siamese cousin, the Birman is a friendly and outgoing cat that regularly chirps and chats with his owners.
