Hello, my name is Gregory Fava. Since the age of 6, I have loved birds, and they remain a passion of mine till this day. Currently, I am a senior in high school. Over the summer, I was thinking of things to do, and I had the idea to write a book about birds. I didn't think it would go anywhere, but with the help of my family, I ended up writing "The Birds of Brooklyn". I wrote this book to attempt to show how truly wonderful the world of birds is to young kids. I also wanted to show that although we live in Brooklyn, there is still so much wildlife to be seen. This book goes over the basics of bird watching and feeding. It also covers a few of the many birds that call Brooklyn their home, ranging from the well-known Rock Pigeon to the majestic Red-Tailed Hawk, along with fun facts about them. I hope you enjoy it.
