Reader favorite Michelle Griep has penned yet another masterpiece with this page-turning adventure that has it all: swoon-worthy romanceclever turn-of-phrasecolorfully memorable characterscharming British setting
Gobsmacking! This is so original as I have never read anything similar to this plot line so I was throughly engrossed from beginning to end. Wonderful characterization and the growth was evident throughout. I loved that Juliet was a resourceful woman with strength and determination to care for her aunt in the only way she knew how. Henry loves his sister and is very protective and as his world collides with Juliet’s it is unending adventure with twists and turns that keep you on your toes. With a faith theme woven in to make a beautiful tapestry of all the frayed ends. I was able to figure out who the rogue was but that in no way took away from this creative storytelling. In my opinion this is the best book I have read this year therefore I recommend adding it to your must read pile. It made me feel all the emotions as I felt like part of the story.

This book was like a puzzle that I stayed up reading and reading so that I could see how each puzzle piece fit, and by the time I finished it, I thought, "Wow, what a great book!". This story was realistic, and at times heart pounding and unpredictable, but also mixed with faith, sacrificial love and kindness that molded into a great story that kept me turning the pages! I am a huge fan of this author, and I will add this title to my favorites! I rate it 5 stars, and highly recommend it.
interesting historical romance with mystery

Set in 1820 England, Michelle Griep brings us to Bedford Manor where Juliet is the unlikely poacher and Henry is the heir to the estate. I loved learning about how estates were run during this time period and truly enjoyed seeing a glimpse of the Regency social life through a land-owning genteel family. Henry was wonderfully protective, self-sacrificial, kind, thoughtful, and honorable. Juliet had spunk and grit, as well as keen tracking sense that proved useful to Henry. She hid herself well beneath a cloak of sharp wit and fiery words but her tender and compassionate heart came out in the presence of Henry and his sister Charity. The mystery component of the plot was unfortunately slow to build but the mastermind behind the threats to Charity will surprise you. If you enjoy historical romance with a side of mystery and intrigue, you will totally enjoy this book.
