On the same day in the operating room, an anesthesia robot deliberately deprogrammed causes cardiac arrest in a patient, while a tampered surgical laser inflicts severe burns to another patient's larynx. Jean, the biomedical foreman, is the first to be called. Serious on duty, carefree in his personal life, Jean carries a hidden burden: a mind haunted by auditory hallucinations.
