The heterocyclic nucleus plays a significant role in medicinal chemistry and provides a valuable model for the synthesis of different types of therapeutic drugs. Pyridine: Another heterocyclic aromatic compound, consisting of a six-membered ring with five carbon atoms and one nitrogen atom. It is often used as a solvent and is a basic building block in many pharmaceuticals and agrochemicals.
