English summary: 'Bildung' is the central, but always threatened category of reflection in practical theology. The questions posed by practical theology are committed to the Protestant 'Bildungsprogram' and the purpose of its application in practical theology. However in everyday practical theology it is not necessarily self-evident that the goal of 'Bildung' determines the direction and the extent of the reflections. The broad framework and the need to interpret the Protestant concept of 'Bildung' may contribute to this. Christian Albrecht is interested in the rediscovery of the concept of 'Bildung' as the central idea in practical theology. In these studies of material practical theology, which are seen from the standpoint of the history of theology and in which concrete examples are presented, he outlines the program of a practical theology which is orientated towards and conscious of 'Bildung'. By illustrating the theological and the historico-cultural horizons of the 'Bildung' ideal in practical theology, the author demonstrates the reasons for practical theology to orientate itself more strongly towards its purpose of 'Bildung' and to distinguish itself by being aware of this purpose. Zwar sind die Fragestellungen der Praktischen Theologie dem protestantischen Bildungsprogramm und der Aufgabe seiner praktisch-theologischen Umsetzung verpflichtet. Aber im praktisch-theologischen Alltagsbetrieb ist es nicht unbedingt selbstverstandlich, dass das Bildungsziel den Uberlegungen Richtung und Mass gibt. Dazu mogen der weite Rahmen und die Auslegungsbedurftigkeit des protestantischen Bildungsbegriffes beitragen. Christian Albrechts Interesse gilt der Wiederentdeckung des Bildungsgedankens als der Leitidee praktisch-theologischer Erwagungen. In prinzipiellen theologiehistorischen und exemplarisch konkretisierenden Studien zur materialen Praktischen Theologie umreisst er das Programm einer bildungsorientierten und bildungsbewussten Praktischen Theologie. Indem der theologie- und kulturgeschichtliche Horizont des Bildungsideals in der Praktischen Theologie anschaulich gemacht wird, gewinnt die Praktische Theologie Grunde, sich wieder starker an ihrer Bildungsaufgabe zu orientieren und durch deren Wahrnehmung zu profilieren.
